Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

​​​​​Vacancy: Quality Assurance Engineer – Amsterdam Region

Salary range: €3,000 – €5,000

A global leader in standard switching power supplies, serving industrial automation, telecom, LED lighting and various other markets, is looking for a motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to strengthen its European Technical Service Team.

Job Description
You will report to the Technical Service Manager and play a key role in the technical operations. Your main duties involve working on power supply units and supporting customers with technical guidance and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and modifications of power supply units based on specification changes
• Repair defective units returned by customers (RMA)
• Conduct root cause analysis by evaluating user conditions and operational environments
• Maintain accurate repair and failure statistics within the ERP system
• Communicate with customers to resolve user-related technical issues
• Generate reports for Product and Quality teams regarding potential epidemic failures or design concerns

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Good manual and soldering skills
• Preferably 1+ year experience in the power supply industry or similar
• Strong knowledge of electronic components
• Strong communication skills: able to work in virtual teams
• Independent, responsible and able to work under pressure to meet repair targets
• Fluent in English: additional European languages are a plus
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands
